By now, you've seen the posts about NoLo Bistro & Bar. What does NoLo mean, you might have wondered?
Well, here's the scoop. When Stonehedge Inn was originally opened in the late eighties, the restaurant was called Silks, named appropriately after the silks worn by triple crown winning jockeys beloved by the developers of Stonehedge, our friends Gil and Marilyn Campbell. Silks was fancy and a place that was unique for the time: fancy food served with exceptional wines in an idyllic rural setting.
When we created NoLo Bistro & Bar back in 2016, we wanted to create a place that the entire community could enjoy and appreciate. We added ten beers on tap, an extensive bar and cocktail program, and affordable wines to a new menu that had elevated versions of New England comfort foods. NoLo, which stands for North of Lowell, was our homage to the incredible community we call home.
