2008 Rock Point Pinot Grigio, Oregon This wine is made up of blends of melon, peach and a touch of mint. The mouthfeel is light and tangy with a slight mineral character on the finish. This is a delightful wine that can be served anytime!
2007 Gordon Brothers Merlot Aromas of cedar, raspberry and blackberry, cinnamon and leather rise to caress the nose. The palate is rewarded with ripe, red fruit dusted with cocoa powder and cinnamon. The mid-palate is generous, yet focused fruit, leading to lingering fine grain tannins. Aged in a mix of French and American Oak barrels for 9 months.
2007 Quinta Dos Correio, Dao This red wine develops its well-rounded, rich fruit flavors from Touriga Nacional, Jaen (Tinta Mencia), Alfrocheiro, Tinta Roriz (Tempranillo) and Rufete. From the top estate of Quinta dos Roques, comes this blend of five indigenous grape varieties. It has an alluring nose, deeply set with briarwood and bramble fruit, with a fine, rich, Dundee cake spice. On the palate it is smooth and quite full-bodied, with loads of cinnamon spice and curranty, dried fruit but plenty of oomph for barbequed meats.
2008 Ransom Riesling, Eola Hills Oregon Aromas of half baked macintosh apples, lemon, lime citrus and spice. The palate is focused with ripe apple and tangerine/lime fruit and minerals. The phenomenal acidity lends to a long finish that is bright and citrus oriented.
2008 Ransom Gewurztraminer, Temperance Hill Oregon From an all organic vineyard. Aromas of rose petals, cardamom, lychee and nectarine blossom. The palate is wonderfully spicy with hints of crushed roses, stone fruits and papaya. Extremely good acidity in the 2008 vintage gives this wine a long finish that ends on a clean and crisp high note.
