Upcoming Events
Nice to see that Spring is in full bloom. Every shade of purple and pink could be viewed the last couple of weeks with all of our flowering trees. Our lilacs are now stealing the show and soon it will be our flower beds coming into bloom. It is amazing how much the landscape can change in a few short weeks!
We have one final event taking place in May, our 'Celebration of Wine' dinner with Veuve Clicquot on Monday, May 20, 2013, featuring Dominique Demarville, Cellar Master and Winemaking Director. If you enjoy the special nuances of champagne, this dinner is for you!
Heading into June, we have our Stonehedge Cellars "Top 25" wine tasting on Monday, June 10th from 6:30pm - 8:30pm. We will be featuring 25 wines, wo why not take the opportunity to get your collection ready for those special summer barbecues??? Light hors d'oeuvers will be served. Wines to be announced soon. Also in June we have our 'Celebration of Wine' dinner with PlumpJack Winery, featuring Aaron Miller, Winemaker on Monday, June 24, 2013. The menu will be announced soon.

Join us on Monday, May 20th as well welcome Dominique Demarville, Cellar Master and Winemaking Director of Veuve Clicquot. Beginning with the Bouzy vineyards that originally belonged to founder Philippe Clicquot, subsequent generations – and more particularly Madame Clicquot- gradually built up the Veuve Clicquot property through determination, intuition and acumen to make it one of the foremost vineyards in all of Champagne. Madame Clicquot was given the accolade of ‘la grande dame de la Champagne’ by her contemporaries, in recognition of her determination to deliver ‘only one quality, the finest’. The Veuve Clicquot vineyards cover 515 hectares, of which 485 hectares are in production, to supply grapes to the House. It spreads over the very best Champagne growth areas: 12 of the 17 Grands Crus and 19 of the 44 Premier Crus. The vineyards boast an exceptional average classifcation of close to 97%, a ranking that is based on the winegrowing properties of the terroir and the quality of the grapes produced. Looking for that special bottle of wine to celebrate the arrival of warm weather? Stonehedge Cellars is pleased to announce its monthly ‘Top 25’ wine tasting
Our June wine tasting is on Monday, Juen 10th from 6:30pm - 8:30pm on a flow basis. Join us when you can! Light hors d’oeuvres will be served. There is a $20.00 charge for all tastings. We will be pleased to apply this amount to your purchase of at least one case of wine on the evening of the event. The evening of the tasting event you will place your order for the wines and they will be available for pick up at Stonehedge Cellars the following Saturday.
