The Story of Stonehedge Inn and Spa

Stonehedge Inn and Spa is the dream come true for Inn proprietors Dawn and Levent Bozkurt.   Levent built the Inn in 1988 and a few years later married Dawn.  As he fondly explains, “She added the fourth star to the Inn”. With Dawn’s tenure at the Four Seasons Hotel, Boston as Director of Food & Beverage, and Levent’s experience at Boston’s Grand Dame, The Copley Plaza Hotel as Managing Director, the Inn is under the careful and passionate eyes of two hotel professionals committed to the fine art of innkeeping. Working hand in hand with his son, Taylan, over the last six years Levent is proud to have one more family member work with the same pride and passion for the family business. Taylan now presides over Stonehedge Inn & Spa as General Manager.

Located forty miles north of Boston and five miles south of the New Hampshire border, Stonehedge is designed after a luxurious European country manor. Recognized internationally for its prestigious Wine List, Wine Cave and New England cuisine, Stonehedge offers impeccable European-styled service combined with the warmth of a favorite New England country inn. The pampering continues in the serene setting of the Spa at Stonehedge. Stonehedge Inn and Spa…close to Boston yet worlds away.

The Bozkurt’s most recent addition is the Inn’s new restaurant, Left Bank and new
Executive Chef, Keith Pooler. “Bringing our restaurant from the 80’s to the trends of today is something that we have wanted to do for a few years and we were finally able to bring these dreams to fruition.”  explains Levent Bozkurt.  “Wine is what we are all about and that theme is shown beautifully throughout the restaurant.” Keith Pooler brings a wealth of culinary experience to Left Bank. “We could not be more thrilled to partner with Keith for our new restaurant.  He is the ideal chef for our new concept of New England seasonal dishes and perfectly prepared grilled dishes. We will continue our Celebration of Wine winemaker dinners each month as well as our monthly wine tastings.  Our passion and commitment to our wine and cuisine programs will keep moving forward”, explains Bozkurt.
